By accessing and using the TruYouMed website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you may not use our services. TruYouMed reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of the website and services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Services

TruYouMed is a functional medicine concierge practice operated by Kristine Benson, NP, located in Denver, Colorado. We provide personalized, evidence-based functional medicine services to patients in the Denver metro area.

2.1 Service Offerings

Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Comprehensive functional medicine evaluations and consultations

  • Telehealth appointments via secure video conferencing

  • In-home health visits within the Denver metro area

  • Personalized treatment plans and health recommendations

  • Health coaching and patient education

  • Coordination of functional medicine testing and laboratory work

2.2 Important Limitations

TruYouMed services are NOT emergency medical services. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency room immediately. Our practice does not provide emergency care, urgent care, or crisis intervention services.

TruYouMed does not replace emergency medical care or the care of your primary care physician for acute conditions requiring immediate medical attention.

3. Patient Responsibilities

By engaging with TruYouMed, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete health information to the best of your knowledge

  • Disclose any allergies, medications, supplements, and medical conditions relevant to your care

  • Inform your provider of any changes to your health status or medications

  • Follow recommended treatment plans and provide feedback on your progress

  • Maintain respect and professionalism during all interactions with TruYouMed staff

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

  • Notify us of any technical issues during telehealth appointments promptly

4. Payment Terms & Direct-Pay Model

TruYouMed is a direct-pay, cash-pay concierge practice. We do not bill insurance companies or accept health insurance as payment for services.

4.1 Payment Obligations

  • Patients are responsible for full payment of services rendered at the time of service or as otherwise agreed

  • Payment is accepted by check, credit card, ACH transfer, and other mutually agreed methods

  • No service will be provided until payment arrangements are confirmed

  • Insurance reimbursement is the patient's responsibility; TruYouMed can provide itemized receipts if needed

4.2 Service Fees

Specific service fees will be discussed and agreed upon prior to service delivery. A fee schedule is available upon request.

4.3 Cancellation and Rescheduling

Patients must provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule appointments. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.

4.4 No Refunds for Completed Services

Payment for services rendered is non-refundable. Patients may request a refund within 7 days of payment if services were not rendered as agreed.

5. Telehealth Consent

By engaging in telehealth services with TruYouMed, you acknowledge and consent to receiving care through electronic communication technologies.

5.1 Technology Risks

You understand that telehealth involves the transmission of medical information over the internet and that complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. While we use secure, encrypted platforms, there are inherent risks to electronic communication.

5.2 Technical Requirements

You are responsible for maintaining a private location and secure internet connection for telehealth appointments. You agree not to use public Wi-Fi or allow other individuals to be present during your appointments without prior notification.

5.3 Recording and Documentation

Telehealth appointments will not be recorded without express written consent. Medical information discussed during appointments will be documented in your patient record.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the TruYouMed website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of TruYouMed or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, transmit, display, or perform any content from the TruYouMed website without prior written permission from TruYouMed.

Educational materials and health information provided by TruYouMed may be used for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution to TruYouMed.

7. Limitation of Liability

EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW, TRUYOUMED AND ITS STAFF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE OR SERVICES.

Functional medicine is a complementary approach to healthcare. Results vary by individual and cannot be guaranteed. TruYouMed is not responsible for outcomes of treatment plans or health recommendations.

TruYouMed does not warrant that the website will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content on the website.

8. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflicts of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Denver County, Colorado.

9. Disclaimer of Medical Advice

The information provided on the TruYouMed website and during consultations is for educational purposes and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your health regimen.
